Mainly, Blair and Megan. However with all the places I have been I tend to forget whether I liked the food, the atmosphere and the service. I decided a good way to keep track would be to blog about it a bit and in the event that someone would like a recommendation of a certain place, I may just be able to dig up something.utterlymehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14667558565823969954noreply@blogger.comBlogger3125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5228123711605134042.post-7971657016433797182010-05-17T17:04:00.000-07:002010-05-17T17:04:36.766-07:00India Palace

9914 W 87th St
The tables are all decked with white table clothes with gold trimming, sandwiched in between the table tops and glass to protect the tablecloths. White plates with white, cloth napkins are set at your place.

Saturday evening we went for a drink and a small something at the Capital Grille on Jefferson Street. On entering the romantically dimly lit establishment, one is hit with the sensation of elegance. It was rather crowded however we were seated almost immediately. fancying something to drink, I selected the Sweet Basil Gin Rickey. It was a smooth blend of basil, gin and cane sugar. Whenever I went for a sip I was met with the perfume of the fresh basil leaf that was placed in the glass.
For our appetizer we had

I have been unable to access the internet at home so have gotten into the habit of coming here before school to study, finish homework and enjoy the atmosphere. It is frequented most by businessmen and women who come in before the daily work grind or those who have gone for a jog on the surrounding paths. Nevertheless it is small, cozy and friendly all together.

After work, instead of heading home, I again head to a Starbucks. This one used to be much bigger and actually doesn't look the same anymore as it does in the picture, as half of it has been invaded by a SmashBurger joint. But it still is bigger and a nice change of ambiance. I know some of the staff at this one and enjoy the little chats that we have in between their duties. also very interesting characters come to this one and engage you in conversation.

Frequently I decided to desert the Starbucks franchise and go to this little coffee shoppe across from JCCC. It is delightfully moody inside. I love the dark, dim feel to it. On entering to your left is a sign on which they have a daily trivia question. For example "Where are Graz and Linz?" (luckily for me that was the first time I was in the establishment and since I grew up in Austria, I knew the answer right off the bat, resulting in 25cents off of my purchase) or "What fruit has the most amount of calories?" Do you know? (It's the avocado.) Their coffee is delicious and refreshing. They also have a delightful assortment of teas and tea concoctions.
utterlymehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14667558565823969954noreply@blogger.com0
